Vespa, the Italian word for Wasp, a loved, adored and respected style leading and trend setting brand, the original Vespa the brain child of Renzo Spolti and Vittorio Casini (though aeronautical engineer Corradino D'Ascanio is responsible for the characteristics we now ascribe to a Vespa, namely the low running board area) has become an internationally recognised brand, and arguably the pinnacle of Scooter design and function. From the outset the Vespa was designed to be an all-enclosed, simple and rugged form of transport, and from a single model Vespa has grown into an entire brand with a broad range of machines.

Vespa has evolved beautifully through time, the classic design of the original machines from the 1950's is still very much evident, even in their very latest products, yet despite this the entire range still looks and functions as an entirely modern vehicle, with class leading dynamics, practicality and performance. Vespa's most iconic machine, the PX, is still in production to this day, a hat-tip to scooter purists with its 2-stroke engine and four speed handlebar shifted gears.
